Restore Wd MyCloud Home

I bought a WD MyCloud Home NAS Sn:WDBVXC0040HWT-00 and it doesn’t have a HDD in it, I put a 6 TB HDD in it, I kept trying to reset it but it doesn’t work, who can help me rewrite its firmware?

Have you checked the User Manual, Chapter Eight?

The WD My Cloud Home NAS is designed as a closed system where the operating system and firmware are stored on the original internal hard drive. If the original drive is removed and replaced with a blank one, the device usually cannot boot because the required system partitions and firmware are missing. The reset button only restores settings and does not reinstall the firmware. In most cases, the only workable solution is to clone the original drive to the new one or obtain a compatible disk image from the same model and capacity. Since Western Digital does not officially provide firmware recovery tools for this device, restoring it often requires help from experienced technicians, NAS repair specialists, or community forums that work with WD NAS recovery.
