it is quite frustrating that there is no a solution to this issue (after 2 years of wd have been informed by other users) . WD: please fix this problem and add an option for scheduled usb back up
Perhaps it would be best to post this feature request in the WD Community Ideas section. If it gets traction and user support then I’m certain WD will take notice.
