Reprogramming? Huh? It’s out-of-the-box compatible with Macs.
I think you’re posting on the wrong forum. Ultra is on another forum. If you so read this you probably just have to reformat the ultras drive to make it work on a mac.
It’s the right forum (at least it is now, possibly after a mod move) so as noted all that’s needed is a reformat to get it to work fine with a Mac. To get the Mac sofrware for the MP Ultra, see here (don’t forget to select the Mac from the top of the software list - it defaults to Windows).
It can be formatted exfat, but sector size must be 1024 for it to work on a mac. I had the same problem a few days ago. My mpw was formatted 4096 and a mac couldn’t read it.
