I need a replacement TRAY for an 8TB external hard drive that fits in My Book Duo 16TB. That is the plastic sleeve that fits over the hard drive and into the housing of the My Book Duo. Does anyone know a link of a supplier? I cannot find the one I need anywhere including on the WD site. I don’t even have a part number.The reason I need it is because in sending in for a failed hard drive replacement, I did not know to take the tray off. They did not send my original tray back to me - just threw it out. I have chatted with WD multiple times and submitted questions but have not heard anything back as yet on how to get a new one. Any help would be appreciated.
I mistakenly did the same thing, and am still trying to find a tray or as sometimes called a caddy, WD is very slow in any kind of response to this, you would think they would have the part, it has their LOGO on it.
