Replacement done by refurbished disk

Hi I raised RMA for 2TB RED drive and visited the collection center at Cathy pacific.Once I submitted my new drive they gave me some old refurbished drive and said this is WD policy to replace it.
My question is
Just few months back I bought brand new RED drive for my NAS storage ( I insisted the dealer to give me only and only WD drives) and now once I return new drive for RMA you are providing me some old refurbished drive?
Isn’t it unfair that I paid for new RED drive and now you are replacing it by some old refurbished drive?
Should I consider this as a malpractice by WD to earn margins ?

The WD Community is a User forum with no direct Support channels for addressing issues related to WD’s RMA system. As such, it would be best to contact WD Support directly. You can do so over the phone or via E-mail.

I just shared my experience and view in the forum.
I do not expect some from this forum to address my issue.
I already escalated this to support.

Same here. I agree that it is disappointing to have an refurbished drive just after purchasing a new drive. I purchased a new one to be on safe side, and I am now with a somewhat not new drive. I could have kept my old drive…
