Removing MyWorldBook_backup share in Mac OS X Finder

I’ve stopped using the time machine function of my 1tb white light MBWE due to the sheer unreliability of the system ( locking up and needing a restart every couple of days )

However I still use it as a working storage area and thus I don’t need or want to see the MyWorldBook_backup share in Mac OS X Finder.

Is there a way of turning this off ?
