Removing a DX4000 from a domain

Hi. I have a DX4000 used to backup users in a division of the company. Due to new organizational requirements, that division is going to be put on an isolated network without a domain. I suspect that if I remove the DX4000 from domain membership, I’ll need to re-connect all the clients once they move to the new workgroup, and I also suspect Windows won’t let those “new” clients access the previous backups. I can live with that it if it comes to it, but would like to know going in so everyone can be properly informed about the risks.

Can anyone tell me the best procedure for removing the device from the domain? I am concerned about loosing administrator access to the device once domain accounts are removed.

You just need to know the local admin password. Backups should stay the same as it uses the local admin account. I don’t think you will notice any changes at all.
Joining the domain has more todo with shares, backups should not be affected
