Remove shares on MBWE?

On my MAC I have the following shares:

downloads

public

(another one)

I want to remove them & just have public, Is this possible?

You CAN remove them- but I recommend against it. The OS expects it to be there and theres no telling what it might do if it cant find them. The downloads share is used by the built in FTP and Torrent clients.
