Hello,
I found out recently that my Cloud is still running a NFS server and is accessable over NFS protocol.
This wouldn’t be a big deal but it seems all shares on USB storages attached to My Cloud are accessible to anyone over the network. This is of course NOT wanted.
My Linux knowledge is pretty basic so I would appreciate what I have to do from the console to shutdown and disable NFS service for good. Thank you.
It seems to be a My Cloud “Home” by todays nomenclature. Back in 2014 when I bought it there was no name suffix like “home”. It is a WDBCTL0040HWT-EESN model. FW v04.05.00-320.
So that article won’t help since the webinterface of my ‘My Cloud Home’ does not have this option.
That’s why I was looking for a command line option to disable NFS permanently. And at this point it does not matter to me if my NAS should have NFS service or not. I just want to get rid of it.
