Remote connection via a smart television

Hi, my WD mycloud is connected to my partners internet at her house, now I want to access the files we share at my house via the internet on my lg smart television, what do I need to do or what settings do I need, please

Thankyou Paul

Officially the only way to remotely access a My Cloud is using one of the WD My Cloud mobile apps for iOS/Android, My Cloud Desktop, MyCloud.com web portal or the insecure FTP.

Generally one cannot access the My Cloud media server remotely without using some sort of VPN. Or possibly installing the BubbleUPnP module to the My Cloud or possibly by installing Plex to the My Cloud. These methods ARE NOT supported by WD.

Does the TV have a browser, if so use mycloud.com. That is how I access mine on my TV, however mine is not a smart TV, I use my Sony Blu-ray Disc/DVD Player BDP-S3500.

Tried that, it’s good as far as I can see the files, but when I click on say a video file it says “file downloading is not supported” :kissing:
