Remote automatic backups for ipad and android phone using wd2go

I’m going to set my ipad and android phone to do automatic backups.  Does the backup functionality still work when I’m on someone else network or can I only do automatic backups locally?

I go between two homes so want my automatic backup to work from both locations (mybook live is located in one of the homes).

Automatic backup?   What are you referring to?

By automatic backup I really mean autosyncing under the settings tab.

Forgot to ask, where do the autosync files save under cause I can’t seem to find them in my folders?
