Remote access error message

I am trying to access MY Cloud remotely.  After login in, I select View Shares.  The system seems to be looking for something but after about 10-15 minutes the screen shows me the following error message:

HTTP Status 404 - TCP Relay failed - Socket connection retries exceeded. 

Apache Tomcat/6.0.3.2

Why is it doing this and how do I access my unit remotely?
