If I reformat my MyPassport external hard drive to fit for a Mac. Will I still be able to use the WD Softwares that I downloaded from the website.

Some WD Software is available for the Mac, but not all of it. See the link below for our common software for each OS.
Keep in mind that macOS has Time Machine, so backup software often is not needed.
