RED LED permanently on

I have a 2TB MBL that has just crapped otself with the RED LED being on all of the time. I believe that it has a disk SMART failure. I have 2 questions.

  1. Is there anyway to fix this issue

  2. If not is there a way to recover the data that is on the drive?

I’m not really a computer person but what you’re saying is that it’s stuffed then

RMA is an option as well if under warranty. Chances are you will lose you files though.

Sorry, forgot to mention, if you open the case, it will void the warranty.
