I recently purchased ITB, USB3.0 drive for using it with Red Hat Linux 5.0. The moment I plug in, it says it cannot mount since the drive uses NTFS file system. Please advise on the steps I need to take for it to be mountable on Red hat . Also, stepwise directions on formatting the drive will be much appreciated.
Linux isn’t a supported OS if you look in the drive info and specs. You might be able to format it with third party software on a Windows or Mac PC that are supported.
