I have the 16tb device and started the recovery 5 days ago. I downloaded the ISO file, mounted and created the USB boot flash drive and reset the server. When I reset, I held the power button down too long and the device shut off. I restarted the reset and the device began the recovery process. I have 4.5tb of data on the sentinel and choose to restore the system and do not reformat option. I contacted WD after 24 hours and was advised that I should wait up-to 72 hours. The sentinel went through the steps and has been displaying the loading OS please wait screeen for the past 5 days. Anyone have any suggestions on how long this will take or if I should restart the recovery process? I did leave the UPS plugged into the USB port (storm season in the DC area) and removed the flash drive once the OS loading screen appeared. I have noticed that every so often, the sentinel will flash blue lights for the drives and then stops.
LOL, not sure what it means either. I should save my logs in some manner to compare. Nothing jumps out though.
Tell me exactly what has transpired.
What did the box say or do to prompt you to start recovery?
As far as recovery all you have done so far is download the iso and run the 3rd step only? It said recovery completed, you rebooted and it still shows loading OS?
