Recovering data from mybook live after removal from case

I was unable to login to an old 1 Tmybooklive, so finally gave up and took it out of the plastic housing.
I’m using OSX, here is what I can view through a console / terminal

Any suggestions appreciated. I still have the case, and could try using it if there is a better option while using it.
