Recover deleted files in a VeraCrypt container

Hello.

I have deleted by mistake some folders from a VeraCrypt container (encrypted).

Container is in a Western Digital My Cloud Mirror (2 x 3TB).

I want to use a recovery software but I am not sure how to proceed:

  1. Open WD My Cloud and extract the two discs.
  2. Connect both discs (SATA) to a computer (it must be Linux or Windows is ok?).
  3. Say “NO!” when computer asks for deleting discs (I have read this several times…).
  4. What next? do I need to open the VeraCrypt container before the scan? (I guess so…).
  5. What recovery software is the best for this?

I think probably I will end asking for help from a recovery company, but proccess seems not very difficult and I preffer not to send my WD for privacy reasons.

Any advice welcome.
