Sony, in their infinite wisdom, would not let me know where to find a replacement board. I rebuilt a Dell XP, and my question is, how do I delete the backup files for the Sony so I can backup the Dell using my WD3200 external drive? Will it over write or corrupt the backup?

Is depending on what you were using to run the backup.
If is a backup software, it should create a new folder for the new backup.
If is a sync software, it should override the existing data on the drive.
Again it depends on the application that you are using.
