Reboot with mkv files via NAS

Hi, I apologize if this is already a posting, but I haven’t been able to find it if so.  When trying to play mkv files, the WD TV Streamer reboots upon accessing/selecting the file to play.  This is only occurring when accessing via the network.  They are being pulled from my LG N2A2DF2 NAS (tried both wired & wireless) and viewing through HDMI or composite.  If I copy over the same file to a usb drive and plug in locally, no problems.

I also have a Sony SMPN200 that will play the same files directly off the NAS.

I’m running firmware 1.12.14

Thank you for any help!

Are you accessing the NAS via DLNA or a network share?

DLNA.

Have you tried playing them via network shares?  It could be an issue with the DLNA server or a specific DLNA compatibility issue.

I select the network share source, windows shares, then the NAS is detected,  but I never receive the option to input a username/pass for access.  Instead, I receive the following error, “Unable to connect to the selected source.  Please make sure the selected source is active and available for sharing.”
