In case I join the MBWE to my domain, through the setting under Network, will I be able to read the users of the Active Directory and set folder permissions accordingly?

I want to share files and folders on my WD MYBOOK similar to a local NTFS Volume using my AD Users & Security Groups. Can this be done?
If not, what steps do I have to take so that I can as close as possible implement this configuration?
