I am using my external drive for holding my itunes library, which I also sync to my android phone. If I change ratings on my phone I would expect to see it change in itunes after syncing. But files syncing from my phone to my External HD don’t change because the files are all read-only. I have tried changing this in properties, and in the cmd window, but nothing will change them. The ratings, if changed in itunes are held though.
I am using a surface laptop, windows 10. The external drive is formatted to NTFS. I was going to try to reformat the drive, but the drive came pre-formatted anyway.
What can i do to change the permissions on the external drive to allow writing while syncing?
