I used my Passport 500 on a laptop using Vista, in the hope that storing thousands of photos might make the laptop quicker with more space. It didn’t make it much quicker, so I bought a new laptop with Windows 7. I plugged in the Passport external drive, and though it does seem to store my new laptop folders and files, I cant access the portable hard drive other than to view whats on it. I then plugged it into my wifes laptop, and all I could see on the passport was HER files and folders, not mine. Whats happened.
How did you transfer the files?
you can go to the drive and open the folders that contain the backed up files
