Hi,

I am looking forward for new purchase of WD external 4Tb drive for data backup, need to know what is the prime difference between My password & Ultra range of drives.

Also i need to use it in Windows Server 2016, so WD Security and WD utilities are supported on the Windows Server OS ?

First off, quit buying Windows computers. Save your money and buy a Mac. As far as the difference, the newer and hideously ugly My Passport Ultras are a just a little faster and come with WDs proprietary backup software. On the other hand, the WD Elements which I think you’re referring to doesn’t come with this bloated software and is just a little slower but is also gorgeous. It’s very similar to the design of the previous My Passport Ultras before some moron at WD decided to change the look of their most popular flagship drive. Personally I’d go with the WD Elements and use another backup software. I hope this helps.
