I have multiple WDTV LIVE units. I prefer to leave hard drives connected to them and access them from my windows computers. I like to download YouTube videos and then copy them to the connected hard drive on the WDTV.
One of the units keeps randomly losing connection within Windows, primarily Windows 7 but also from the Windows 10 machines, although they maintain connection much better.
The odd thing is when I log into my router, it always sees the WDTV as connected to the network consistently. In fact, I almost always see the WDTV Live as a media player and when I double click that I can enter the admin part from the IP of the WDTV and at the exact same time, the hard drive connected to that same device is not accessible from windows until randomly a few minutes later, I can connect to the drive for about 10 minutes at a time before it just disconnects on its own.
Anybody else having this problem? Any solutions?
