What does this mean ?

Error message 8 means:

Read Sector Failure A Read command during the test has failed. This may be due to a media or read/write error. It also may be due to a defective connection. Retest after checking the connections. Replace the drive if the error repeats.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I called tech support and thy had me 're-initialize" the drive.

Works perfectly.
