Raid question

can i make two raid1 arrays in device?

if yes, can i use in first raid1 array 2tb+2tb hdd, and for second raid1 array with 3tb+3tb hdd???

and when MyCloudEx4 will be released in europe(russia)?

Yes you can do all that.

We are working on the Russian certification. There are some new requirements by the Russian government that we are exploring.

(1) Can I put in 2 x 4TB drives (RAID 1) and in a few months add 2 more in RAID 1?

(2) We use Macs exclusively, so would the 4 drives (setup as 2 x RAID 1) show up as 2 hard disks?

(3) Is the limit 4TB drives, or what size drives will the EX4 be able to use when larger ones are introduced?

  1. Yes- They would be two separate volumes

  2. Yes - two separate volumes

  3. Well 4TB is the max size right now. It is expected that larger capacities will be available next year sometime. Once they are available, we will certainly look to make sure they are supported.
