I have heard conflicting comments in the past regarding the RAID control on the ShareSpace units. Can someone give me a definitive (and, if possible, verifiable) answer as to whether the RAID on this is using a actual hardware RAID controller, or if it’s a software RAID running via the OS? If it is indeed a hardware RAID, can the controller ever be replaced? And if it is a software RAID, can the *entire* file system (including the RAID parity) be backed up somehow?
