Raid drives in any wd raid caddy?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if you can use any WD drives in any WD caddy?

I recently had my MY STUDIO 4TB RAID DRIVE crash to the floor. The actual drives and files are fine (a specialist looked at them), but my mac cant see the files. I used them as RAID 0.

If I put these 2 x 2TB drives in a new HOT SWAP WD drive (like the new MY STUDIO THINDERBOLT), will this read the old hard drives ok???

Only hard drives of the same model are supported as replacements, note that it is not possible to recover your files by placing the internal drives on another enclosure.
