Hello.
I have a My Cloud EX2 Ultra with 2x2Tb RAID disks. The system says for one of the two disks : “Health RAID : deteriorated”.
Can someone explain me what it means and what I should do (in easy words - because english is not my mother tongue and i am no IT specialist). I tried to look for that in the forum but only found very old posts.
There is this one:
But it seems it is not the same case, since both my drives appears with status “OK/satisfaisant” there. + I do not know if there is any risk of losing data if I do anything with the auto-restore.
Thanks in advance
Clément
On your My Cloud EX2 Ultra with two 2TB drives in RAID 1, “Health RAID: deteriorated” means the mirror between the drives is broken and the system is likely running on only one disk. Even if both drives show “OK” individually, one of them may have errors or has dropped out of the RAID. Your files are probably still there, but you no longer have redundancy, so if the remaining working drive fails, you could lose your data. Back up everything important first. Then check the Storage section in the dashboard to identify the affected drive and replace it with a new drive of the same size or larger. After replacement, the NAS should automatically rebuild the RAID. Do not reinitialize or format the RAID, as that will erase your data.
