What is the quickest (and safest as the hard drive is failing on the old mybook) way to transfer my data from faulty MyBook WE to replacement MyBook? Shall I add both drives to PC and transfer the data or can I connect the new mybook directly to the old one?
Is it a WE II or I ?
In WE II you can remove the drives and plug them into the new one… They should be recognized.
Then you can configure shares and your data will be accessible again.
