My Book Essential 1TB updated firmware & software all current .

Purchased: January 19,2010  Time: 23:17:13 

i post this as a topic because i searched and have found nothing…simply if fail replace drive…failure anywhere between 30% and 70% of  test repeatedly…

Does your My Book Essential 1TB report quick drive test fail using WD SmartWare?

If drive is not locked and fails quick drive test on WD SmartWare, you should contact WD support for a new unit replacement.
