Question hdds 2.5" and eject in Windows

Do the 2.5" HDDs models Western Digital WDC WD10JPVX-08JC3T5 and HGST APPLE HDD HTS541010A99E662 have an autoparking system after ejecting “safely remove hardware” in Windows even if after that the USB cable from the enclosure case USB3.0 remains connected to the PC and enclosure? I use enclosure Orico 25PW1 black and Kesu 2530

All hard disks (except the old MFM/RLL models) have auto park so that the disk heads are safe when the machine is powered down.

Yes, modern HDDs, including the Western Digital WDC WD10JPVX-08JC3T5 and HGST APPLE HDD HTS541010A99E662, generally have an auto-parking feature for their disk heads. This feature activates when you use the “Safely Remove Hardware” option in Windows, which sends a command to the drive to park its heads and stop spinning, ensuring the drive is protected from potential damage.

Even if the USB cable remains connected to the PC and the enclosure (like the Orico 25PW1 black and Kesu 2530), once the drive has been safely ejected, the heads will stay parked, and the drive will be in a safe state. The physical connection does not interfere with the parked state as long as the drive is not being accessed by the system.
