Question about extension usb port

i have this external hdd:  http://www.wocom.com.au/images/products/hdd/LG-HXD5-1.jpg

it is usb 2.0

when i attached him on my laptop and i am transferring over wifi on mycloud speed is 10mb/s

when i atached him directly on the back port of myclous and transfer from the ext hdd to mycloud over wi-fi speed is 5m/s

why ??? the right speed i must have is the classic usb 2.0 speed so 20-25mb/s arent i or i am wrong

please help

The USB drive is its own share. 

Any time you copy files between shares (doesn’t matter the OS or the NAS) the data must traverse your computer.

Use the Mycloud Desktop App and that won’t happen.
