So I may have made a mistake, I got a new 8tb hard drive and decided i was going to go ahead and expand the array… Problem with that is its wanting me to replace the other three drives as well. Can I just pop out the old drives and put them back in? Or can I cancel the upgrade or something?
If you’ve only replaced 1 drive and not touched the other drives, you can replace it again with the original drive.
i wound up having to backup my data and rebuilding the raid array. So to anybody thinking about upgrading do all 4 drives at once lol
