Q About New WD Caviar Black (WD1002FAEX)

hi,

I bought a new WD Caviar Black 1000 Gb / 7200 / 64 Mb / SATA / 3.5
on every read operation from the drive i heard it reading, for example when i run chrome
i used the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows utility and the drive pass the quick test
on the first 15 Sec the the test start i heard annoying Loud noise and then it stopped

i want to know is it normal for this series to hear the the drive operation ?
the store told me that is normal for the black series and offer me to replace to the blue series …

i need yours advice before changing the drive.

The Cavira Black line are way much louder than the other drives therefore if you can’t live with the sound you should try a BLUE or GREEN but that will decrease the performance. Your choice!
