Purchasing

This has been an interesting experience for me. I have been trying to order (4) 10TB red Pro drives for more than a week now. No matter which browser I use or if I sanitize the web page, the online store will accept my purchase, issue an order number, charge whatever credit card I try or PayPal, and then immediately cancel my order and refund the charge. I have called twice and had a support ticket created, but have received no response. I was told to place my order by phone, but they refused to accept it. Does anyone know what is going on in this scenario?

I have been a Western Digital customer for a long time. I did receive a notification once that “I didn’t have enough of a purchase history”. I’m over 70 years old, and I think I have a purchase history. Why does that matter anyway? They had their money in hand for the purchase.

Given how quickly the order cancellation was processed, I think AI is flagging me.

Many vendors are having problems mostly due to new security models being adopted to prevent fraud etc.

What type of stores do you have nearby you that sell computer/technology items? If you have some have you asked them to order the drives for you, if they don’t have 10TB drives in stock?
