Public share access denied?

I created a share “Recorded_TV” and marked it as public:

Then I tried to list that share using an Administrator command prompt:

I get the error as above.

If this is marked as a public share TRUE, why should it give the above error?

I can browse the same share under my own login properly though.

Anyone knows what else might be missing to cause this?

It’s a Windows thing. You still have the authenticate to a public share… The EX4 just won’t care about the credentials. Once you authenticate to ANY share, then Windows will use the same credentials for ALL shares on the same server.
