I just bought a new My Cloud and have quick question about it

_ I share my Internet with my roommate, my WiFi is secured. If i mark the Folders in My Cloud dashboard as Public Access.

Can my roommate access to any of that stuff at all.

I dont share not thing or grant any access to my roommate at all

I did setup username + password for web dashboard and users info. Even though with that setup, can he still get access to it

If your WiFi is secured (and your roommate doesn’t have the password/key) then he can’t access anything.

If your WIFI is secured but your share your network with your roomate, you will need to change the user rights of each share to provide/limit access to the shares, in addition to adding user and password to access the NAS at all. This can be done through the cloud dashboard.
