I have purchased this HD and I am very happy with it, I was curious, as I am using it for my PS4 and it is formatted for it and I have transferred the data from the PS4 to the drive, can I add movies to the hard drive and watch them via the PS4 or is it now basically for PS4 apps now?
If you’re using it as the “Extended Storage” feature on the PS4 eg. Installing Games and Applications … then, No, you will not be able to add movies or videos.
Once the PS4 has formatted the drive for use as ‘Extended Storage’ … your PC will longer be able to see the hard drive anymore in windows explorer.
(Except in Device Manager to re-partition and format the drive back to PC use … wiping all your PS4 data off the drive)
