After I see “ready to perform category backup” and look at advanced view, seeing files checked, stop backup is indicated. However, there is no indication anything is happening. I don’t see a progress report or if I do, it doesn’t indicate anything is backedup.
You can also access the information on the drive directly from Windows Explorer (Computer). When the drive is connected, it should be listed as My Passport (if it hasn’t been renamed). If the files were backed up with the software bundled with the drive (WD SmartWare) all files should be on a folder named WD_SmartWare or WDSmartWare.swstor… depending on the software version.
