Problems with WD SmartWare

When I use WD SmartWare to backup, it will only save a part of the disk partitioning I chose to save. Will it has a bug on the software or hidden elements in the file of the backup? Thank you for you rested,

Hi, have you tried doing a file backup to select several partitions? Check page 13 of the manual for more information.

Yes I selected everything in the proposed list, but it doesn’t appear MSOCache, PerfLogs, Progam Files(x86), ProgramData, Programs, and, in Users, there is only my profile and public profile, and doesn’t appear too Windows. That’s a lot, right? These are essential datas … The reasons are maybe as specified in this page of th Knowledge base “Supported and non-supported file types in a Category Backup in WD SmartWare Version 1.6.x and earlier” (link dosn’t work…) But for versions 1.6.x and earlier…

In this case, is that WD SmartWare is really useful? It does not make a full backup, in contrast to backup Windows 7 …
Does WD SmartWare makes a disk image?

Hi again, Smartware is not compatible with system or program files, in your case, you might want to use Windows Backup. Follow the link below for the steps.
