Problems with WD Smart ware openning

Hello,
I have an external hard drive “My passport” 1TB it has a software WDSmartWare for security copies.
The problem is that when I open the software (that has been always working ok) now a message appears that says “Error opening (G:\Extras\VCDVersion.xml) [3][3]”

How can I fix it? I can’t do the safe copies from my PC now and it is urgent.
