Problems with .mkv 8x8dct=1

Hi!

I´ve got problems playing some mkv files.

Some of them are playing just fine; but lots have extreme problems. it seems, as if the codec wouldnt work because the picture shows very big pixels. I´m not talking about some some few pixels; the whole picture looks “broken”.

After analysing the files using AVInaptic i´ve tried to compare a fine working mkv with the not-working-ones.

The only difference i´ve found is, that all not-playing-files have the 8x8dct set to 1 (the working one is 0).

I´ve tried all outputformats of the box; looks all the same.

I´m using Firmware 1.10.24 (the Beta-Version 1.02.14 shows the same error); the error appears over network AND USB-Storage in the same way.

The “broken” image appears on HDMI and Component; so its not a failure of the TV (tested on Flat and old-school TV).

Any Suggestions what to try?

Hello again!

After reencoding a non-playing file with Handbrake on High-Profile without 8x8cdt set to “No” the file still doesn’t play. To make things short here are now the profiles of a working file and a non working file.

Perhaps someone sees more than i do.

Just wanted you to know, that it was a hardware failure.

Changed the Box today; suddenly everything works fine…
