Problems with installation

I connected my MY PASSPORT (4TB) to my MAC and automatically the software program opened and said something about “Do you want to erase the info of the MY PASSPORT hard-disk? This operation can not be undone” I clicked Accept. And then another chart appeared but I didn’t understand what it was saying, so I expelled MY PASSPORT and disconnect it from my computer, then connected it again and now when I connect it it just appears “The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer”. I think is because the information of the software is now erased from MY PASSPORT. So what should I do?
Please help me.
