I can’t get my PC to recognise a new WD1002FAEX (1TB) drive. The motherboard is a GA-X58A-UD3R. I’ve updated the firmware to FB.
I’ve also tried plugging it into the SATAII controller with the jumper settings set to 3Gb/s (5-6). I’ve tried a different SATA cable and a different power cable - both working fine with the existing SSD drive.
The drive doesn’t show in the BIOS or in Windows 7 disk manager.
I’ve also tried from freedos/wdsspeed.exe idea found elsewhere.
Has anybody got any ideas?
