Problems reading one folder/subfolder in WD Passport 5TB

I can’t read or access one folder and its subfolders on my WD Passport 5 TB. It’s near capacity, and suddenly it won’t read one folder and its subfolders. My computers recognize the drives, and I can see all the other folders fine, but one folder shows up but shows nothing in it even though there was over 1 TB of files in it. I’ve tried the WD utilities and scanning the drive, it doesn’t show any drive errors but I still can’t access the data in the folders. Any idea how I can access the folders to back them up? TIA!
