Problem with SRT subtitles and how can i upgrade

hi every one, i have wd elements play 1TB , i bought it 2 years ago and never update it ,the version is 1.01.12

1- how can i found any upgrade file

2- i cant see SRT files anyway and it is not shown in subtitle part when i play movies

Hello,

Are you naming the .srt file with the same name as the movie file?

  • IIRC 1.01.12 is the latest version for the old-gen WEP (you’ll only find 1.01.10 for download)
  • Instead of using separate SRT files: consider packing into Matroska (but be sure to disable header compression, search this forum for my posts).
