Problem with My Passport Essential SE (USB 3.0)

I have problem with My Passport Essential SE (USB 3.0). When I plug it in any computer I can’t find it in device manager or my computer. When it is plugged in, the light is constatly turned on but I hear that in first few seconds HDD works and then it stops. Light is on during the all time and doesn’t depend about ‘‘sound’’ from HDD.

Hello, use the USB cable that came bundled with the Passport, avoid using USB extension cables or USB hubs. You can also check on the disk management window to see if it’s recognized there. If it’s still not recognized then it would appear to be faulty. Check the link below for the steps to access the disk management window.

I got the same problem. My laptop can recognize my Passport Essential SE (USB 3.0), I find my disk in the disk management, but I can’t access the file.
