Can WD my passport for mac be also used on a pc? i want to back up files from my pc as well but its not recognizing the ext hard drive. whats the proper formatting for it so can use on both mac and pc? thanks

1.  Backup your data.

2.  Use either on Windows XP (not sure works on Vista or Win7)

3.  Or use Mac Disk Utility to partition MBR + FAT format (FAT32)

4.  Test it before copying many important files.
